Welcome to Spine Plus. Our family run flag ship clinic, Chigwell Osteopathy & Physiotherapy Practice, was opened in the year 2000. Since then we have established additional clinics in the Woodford area and more recently in central & East London where our reputation for attention to detail and commitment to excellence continues to spread. 90% of our new patients are either recommended by a friend or referred directly from their GP or hospital specialist.

Whether treating whiplash, a sprained ankle or any other musculoskeletal disorder we aim to provide you with the highest possible quality of manual therapy. Most of our therapists are qualified in more than one area and utilise several treatment techniques during a treatment session drawing from a range of respected physical and allied therapies.
The treatment and advice we offer will be personalised to you as an individual and guided by both evidence based practice and the renowned innovation, intuition and "hands-on" expertise of our therapists. Furthermore, our clinical team regularly discuss cases and cross refer in order that you may benefit from their collective knowledge, experience and clinical interests.
One of our latest developments has been the use of software allowing personalised corrective exercise programmes to be emailed to our patients complete with video clip illustrations of each exercise.

As company director and co-founder Robert is part of the driving force behind our multidisciplinary approach. Robert has been strongly infuenced by his mother, a chartered physiotherapist with 40 years experience and by his interests as a former martial arts instructor. Robert graduated as an Osteopath in 2000 and subsequently furthered his education with several postgraduate courses, notably in medical acupuncture, electrotherapy and clinical Pilates (the latter with the renowned Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute). As well as treating sports injuries and tension headaches Robert's other main area of special interest is the management of patients with chronic low back pain and neck pain associated with disc problems. Robert is a strong advocate of medical acupuncture and non-surgical spinal decompression IDD Therapy which he has found to be invaluable treatment tools for his patients which have included world class sports people with previously unresolved back pain. Robert is set to be a guest speaker at THE BACK SHOW to be held at London's Olympia in February 2012. Robert is married with three young children.
Philip graduated from the British School of Osteopathy in 2006 and subsequently trained with the British Medical Acupuncture Society (BMAS).
Alice is a Registered and Chartered Counselling Psychologist who has worked for over 10 years both privately and the NHS settings. She is available at our Chigwell clinic on Saturdays.
Ben is one of our most senior osteopaths having worked at our Chigwell clinic for over 7 years.
Ann is our head physio and the clinic manager at Chigwell. Ann used to work for the prestigious and world renowned "Bobath Centre", she has many years experience as both a physiotherapist and a physiotherapy manager in the NHS and private sectors.
